Setup & Options
Once you have installed the extension the best place to start is with the options. Choose which menu items that you would like to have displayed In the “Tab Context Menu Tab Area”. You may also choose to have the “Tab Bar” not always show.
In the “Main Context Menu Tab Area” select the items that you would like to have displayed. Notice that the default setting for the items here are for them to show only if the “Tab Bar” is hidden. If you want to access these items in your “Main Context Menu” while the “Tab Bar” is showing then make certain to deselect this option.
Selecting the “Allow hiding Back/Forward” option will let you deselect the “Back and/or Forward” options above…
Tab Session History in Action
Right clicking on the tab shows that wonderful little “History Sub-menu” waiting to be used. Notice that the current page has a checkmark in place of the icon…helpful if you have multiple pages for the same website open (no accidental re-opening of the page that you are already viewing).
You can also access the history for the tab from inside the browser window itself. Here we were approximately two-thirds of the way down the front webpage for the How-To Geek website and everything is looking great.
Conclusion
Tab Session History can save you the trouble of having to use the History Menu in the Menu Toolbar. Enjoy accessing your history quickly and easily wherever your mouse happens to be in your browser!
