Note: Zoho Companion is also available for Internet Explorer & Chrome (link provided below).
Zoho Companion For Firefox in Action
Once you have installed the extension there is only one access point to worry with…a new status bar icon. To access the extension right click on it.
Note: The icon will be grayed out when you are not logged into your Zoho account.
After you log in you are ready to start accessing local files (documents, spreadsheets & presentations) and work with them in your online account. Notice that after logging in there is now a new menu entry (Edit Local File) available.
For our first example we uploaded a word document to edit.
Followed by a presentation file.
If needed you can focus on just uploading files to access from somewhere else later (i.e. home or school).
Browse to the location and select all of the files that you want to upload. Click open to start the upload.
The upload window looks just like the download manager window except in reverse.
Here is the word document that we uploaded in the image above. This is definitely helpful if you forgot to bring your flash drive with you.
Settings
The settings are easy to go through…simply select the options that best suit your needs.
Conclusion
If you love using Zoho and need to work on (or upload) documents from your current location then the Zoho Companion For Firefox extension will make a nice addition to your browser.
